Whale WatchingIf you want to go whale watching, you have a variety of places where you can go. Whale watching is done in the warm months off of the Northern Atlantic and Northern Pacific coasts and in the winter months if you go whale watching in Hawaii. If you want to see a large variety of whales, you may choose to go whale watching in New England. There are Boston whale watching cruises that you can take that will allow you to see Humpback whales of the Northeast, which are an endangered species, Minke whales and Finback whales. All of these whales are easy to spot when you take a whale watching tour out of Boston. The best time for whale watching in the Northeast is the late summer to mid autumn months. In the winter, you can go whale watching in Hawaii where you can see the Hawaiian humpback whales, among other sea creatures. During your cruise, you may also wish to go snorkeling. This will allow you to get up close and personal with some of the creatures and fish of the sea off of the coast of the Hawaiian islands. The Pacific Humpback whales are smaller than the Atlantic whales and are more abundant. If you want a tropical time and also the chance to go whale watching, you may choose to do so in Hawaii. If you visit Vancouver, located in the province of British Columbia in Canada, you can find the Orca whale, along with many other sea creatures such as dolphins and even sea lions. Spotting the Orca whale, which is also known as the killer whale, is something that many people who enjoy whale watching hope to do. If you go on a whale watching tour in Vancouver, you have a good chance to spot this giant beast of the sea. Whale watching can be fun for young and old alike. You will most likely have to wear life vests when you are on the deck of the ship. If you are going into rough waters, you may want to skip taking young children for your whale watching journey. You will also most likely be provided with waterproof coverings so that you do not get soaked through as whale watching tours often make those on board wet. But this is well worth it as not many people get to see whales in their natural environment.
